In early July 2025, the exhibition "Royal Deconstruction" (Karališkoji dekonstrukcija) was presented at the Lithuanian Artists' Association Gallery in Vilnius. The exhibited works reveal how artists interpret the history of Lithuania's royal era.
The exhibition features works by ten members of the Artists' Association, including the painter Aleksandras Vozbinas. These paintings aim to demonstrate how the royal period of Lithuanian history can be interpreted through the language of contemporary art.
The artists convey the "royal element" in their works through:
Heraldic motifs
Historical figures
Interpretations of past events
Creating a painting with historical content is a difficult task—one that is mastered by balancing creative freedom with the responsibility that comes with historical truth.
