In early February, the Vilnius art space “GODÒ Gallery” continued its annual February tradition by presenting the group painting exhibition ”HEDONIZMAS”. The showcase explores the role of hedonism within contemporary Lithuanian creation.

As it is every year, the exhibition is dedicated to the cherished memory of painter Aleksandras Vozbinas.

“HEDONIZMAS” invites visitors to view the theme of pleasure through the lens of a Lithuanian context... How relevant is a hedonistic approach to modern Lithuanian painting? Does it act as a primary creative impulse or a subtle, visually encoded motif?

Among the featured authors, the exhibition includes three grotesque works by Aleksandras Vozbinas centered on the theme of hedonism.
